Getting the most bang for your money.

Our outboard engine is best known for its: price, reliability, torque, weight, maintance free, and easy start.

 Comparison.
Let's compare our Outboard with those available on the market starting with Electric trolling motors, and Gas outboards.

Weight.

The difference between our outboard and a trolling motor is weight, price, and duration of play time on the water.
At 16lbs. Our outboard engine is lighter than any of the best made trolling motors, especially when the average trolling motor weight is 25-40lbs plus a 40lbs deep cycle battery to operate it.  You don't need us to add the numbers for you, but just in case, 16lbs vs 75lbs.

Distance and range.

A trolling motor will last 1-2 hours with no current or wind present, however, a gallon of gas will last you all day.

Price point.

The cheapest trolling motor rated at 3/4 HP. will cost $240 at Wal-Mart and add $75 for a deep cycle battery plus a battery charger $40. totalling $355.00 vs $399 for our Powerfull 2 HP outboard.

Summary.

For $355 you get 1-2 hours of limited distance and fishing time using a trolling motor, as opposed to gas powered outboard delivering hours of  play time and fishing with no limitation on distance  for $399.

Service/Parts/Down time.

Honda, Yamaha, Johnson, Nissan, Tohatsu, Mercury etc. build  great outboard, no question. However, none of theirs are as light as ours plus theirs have gears and stuff that only specialized marine mechanics can service.
In fact, try buying a carburator or an electronic circuit from them, see if you can get any of these parts for less than $100 plus a week's wait if you're lucky.

 Shop rates- labor- parts.

If that doesn't bother you, check their shop rates for working on those little over glorified weed wahker/ egg beater/ putt-putts with a propeller at its end.  ($70-$80-$90 an hour plus parts)

Summary.
Honda, Yamaha, Johnson, Nissan, Tohatsu, Mercury 2HP outboars are sold for no less than $700-$980.
Our 2HP outboard sells for $399.

Easy to start.

Our fine tuned outboard doesn't need to be roughed up to start, after all, it ain't a lawn mower.
Gently pull the starter cord a few times and she'll start, much like a fine tuned engine.

Maintainence free.

There are no gears to lock up on you.
No points and condensers to affect timing or spark plug ignition.
No state of the art electronics to go bad.

 Easy to work on.

One thing for sure, all engines sooner or later will need service. Unlike others, ours is a simple engine to work on your self, In fact, very few things need to done to get it started if it doesn't start .

Trouble shooting.

Contaminated fuel -Fouled spark plug-  Bad carburetor - Raw fuel.

Contaminated fuel (water in the gas) from long storage or from the gas station.
Solution: Make a new batch of mixed fuel and dispose of the old one.

Fouled spark plug (dirty or gummy spark plug tip) caused by bad gas or oil settling on the bottom of the engine tank.
Solution: Pop out the old plug, clean the plug tip, put the plug back and start the engine.

A bad carburetor will not allow you to start easy nor accelerate smoothly, often occurs from bad gas or gummy substance build up over the winter season or long period of storage.
Solution: Replace the carburetor with a new one and save yourself a lot of aggrevation.

Raw fuel  means that you've have not mixed any oil or a very low amount of 2 cycle oil and not followed the gas/oil mixture recommendations , thereby, causing major damage to your engine. In this case you can ship us the power head and for
$120.00 we can send you a new one.

Cheap to get them serviced.

All of the above solutions are not going to cost any money, with the rare exception of replacing the carburator for $18.00.  Now that's affordable

 Fuel mixture.

The key to keeping your engine in ship shape, is good lubrication. We know from years of experience that the more oil you use the longer your engine will last.
We recommend using regular 2 cycle oil (6oz to 1 gallon ) and recommend strongly to stay away from synthetic 2 cycle oils, no matter what anyone tells you. We tried synthetics on our outboards and our outboards seized and burned to a crisp.
Now you know, and you won't need to find out the hard way.
We used the famous Amsoil , Opti -II and Wal-mart, Boaters World and West Marine's synthetic blends, all proved disastrous.

Here is a carburator, just in case you don't know what it looks like.
"Nothing complicated about  it nor its installation".
You only replace it whenever, your engine starts giving you a hard time starting (very rarely), that is after you've done your trouble shooting and there is nothing left to do.
Here is dirty spark plug and a clean spark plug, guess which one is the clean one.
Guess which one of these 2 cycle oils you should stay away from?HINT (STAY AWAY FROM SYNTHETIC)

If you chose PENNZOIL oil, we'll  probably never hear from you again for service or parts.
